Elle Roy
Passionate by her art, Elle Roy is a queer dance artist who explores movement both on stage and in front of the camera. Graduated from École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, Elle prospers for the last 5 years as a principal dancer with the contemporary dance company Van Grimde Corps Secrets. Simultaneously a freelance artist and driven by a desire to dive into diverse creative universes, Elle also works beside prestigious musical artists (Half Moon Run, Celine Dion, PetiTom, William Cloutier, Rymz and more). 2018 was the birth of the first choreographic essay of A Safer Space (initiated by Nicholas Bellefleur), a collective of queer artists in which they explore the "praxis of inclusion and care" through dance. Elle takes part in the editions presented at the Festival Quartier Danse, at Vue sur la Relève as well as at Tangente in 2022. In 2023, she joins the renowned circus company The 7 Fingers, where she's taking part of their newest creation. Motivated to refine her relation to movement and to the body, Elle plunges in front of the camera. Represented by Humankind Management, she gains experience on how to integrate her artistry through the lens of modelling. Curious to explore dance through mediums like photography and video, she relishes moments where her dancing moves away from its original boundaries.
