What are the three words that describe you best?
Authentic, Curious and Optimistic

How did you start modelling? What inspired you to work in this industry?
I was a print model during my university years. I left the industry after I graduated, married a handsome military man and raised our family. When I turned 45, my mother agent convinced me to come back to the industry as a mature model. I found myself expanding into commercials and acting in addition to print work—25 years after my first test shots.

Is there a specific message you want to spread?
Stay curious. Read books about people that lead a different life than you do. It’s a great way to learn about different cultures and places—and that builds empathy.

Who’s your favourite artist?
I love all types of music, but if I had to chose just one artist, it would be Duran Duran. Once a Duranie, always a Duranie.

What is one of your pet peeves?
Tardiness. My dad always says, “You can be five minutes early as easily as you can be five minutes late.” And he’s right.
