Tejas is a kind-hearted, driven, and fierce young woman.
Recently diagnosed with a genetic condition and stage three cancer, she had to receive a life-saving ostomy surgery. Having an ostomy bag sets her apart, forcing her to reassess her relationship to her body and learning to take nothing for granted. Her goal is to reframe the dialogue between beauty and health standards while putting an important emphasis on keeping a healthy mind in a healthy body. With this experience, she hopes to raise ostomy awareness, and help encourage people of all ages, sizes, ethnicities and health conditions to feel beautiful and strong. Tejas loves spending time with her two moms, her siblings and friends, and does weightlifting several times a week. She is currently working on her first book, a novel inspired by her story.
